To actively support the Healthy China initiative, respond to the growing demand in emerging fields such as cancer rehabilitation, and drive innovative development in the field of oncology rehabilitation medicine, the China Medical Education Association will co-host, alongside REHACARE—the international rehabilitation exhibition—the “Integrated Clinical Rehabilitation: Construction and Practice Workshop” and a “Hands-On Training Course in Rehabilitation Therapy Skills.” In addition, a special “Special Symposium on the Development of Cancer Rehabilitation” will be held.

Dual teams stand side by side, breaking the deadlock and ushering in a new era.

At the conference, the “Oncology Rehabilitation Collaborative Group” and the “County-Level Rehabilitation Collaborative Group” of the China Hospital Rehabilitation Medicine Consortium will be officially established.

The establishment of the Oncology Rehabilitation Collaborative Group under the China Hospital Rehabilitation Medicine Consortium aims to meet the growing demand for rapid advancements in oncology rehabilitation clinical practice and research, and to promote the standardization and regularization of oncology rehabilitation nationwide. Building on the publication of the “Expert Consensus on Oncology Rehabilitation (2025),” the group brings together multidisciplinary expertise and operates according to a full‑cycle rehabilitation framework encompassing pre‑rehabilitation, in‑treatment rehabilitation, and long‑term rehabilitation.

Establishing county-level rehabilitation collaboration networks represents a breakthrough in bridging the “last mile” of rehabilitation care. By addressing the key challenges faced at the grassroots level, responding to the national call to strengthen primary healthcare, facilitating the distribution of high-quality rehabilitation resources to lower-tier settings, promoting the widespread adoption of appropriate technologies, and empowering county‑level medical institutions to enhance their rehabilitation capabilities.
