Travel Advisory
1. Bring your passport’s first page, your insurance policy, the invitation letter, and your round-trip flight itinerary.
2. Bring an ample supply of brochures, business cards, posters, and other promotional materials.
3. Mobile phone (with international roaming enabled), charger, power bank, and travel adapter.
4. Bring your toiletries and necessary clothing, and pack some of your regular medications—such as gastrointestinal remedies, allergy pills, fever reducers, and pain relievers—for emergencies.
5. Please do not place computers, batteries, or power banks in your checked baggage.
6. Time difference with China: 3 hours behind; time = Beijing Time minus 3.
7. Local Temperatures: During your trip, average temperatures will fluctuate between 11°C and 22°C, with daytime highs around 22°C. We recommend wearing comfortable, lightweight clothing such as single-layer cotton‑linen shortsuits, T-shirts, thin denim shirts and pants, or casual attire. Be sure to bring a light jacket or thin blazer to handle temperature differences in the mornings and evenings. For business events or more formal meetings and visits, please prepare smart‑casual or formal attire.
8. Currency: The local currency is the Kazakhstani tenge (KZT). 1 Chinese yuan is approximately equivalent to 71.23 Kazakhstani tenge. U.S. dollars are widely accepted in Kazakhstan. Please avoid carrying large amounts of cash; you can use VISA- or MASTER CARD‑branded credit cards abroad.
9. Voltage: In Almaty, Kazakhstan, the standard electrical supply is 220V at 50Hz, and most outlets are German-style round-pin sockets.
10. Kazakhs predominantly practice Islam, abstain from pork, and avoid products containing pigskin. Russians, Ukrainians, and Belarusians, on the other hand, adhere to the Eastern Orthodox Church; a small minority also follows Christianity and Buddhism. During religious services, worshippers consider it taboo for others to pass in front of them.
