Exhibition Guidelines and Important Notes

Badge Collection

All exhibitor badges, including those for on-site temporary staff, must be applied for in advance online through the Exhibitor Badges module of the Customer Center. Africa Health 2024 will no longer provide physical exhibitor badges; attendees will gain access to the exhibition halls by scanning a QR code on-site.

Exhibitors may save the badge QR code to their mobile devices or print it out and bring it to the exhibition venue. At the venue, attendees will gain entry by scanning the QR code.

Notes on Rent Increases for Exhibition Equipment

1. Exhibitors requesting additional booth space prior to the show must bring their order forms and, if available, the layout map of the additional space for verification of delivery arrangements. Failure to pay the additional‑space fee by the designated pre‑show deadline will be deemed a waiver of the request; please place a new order on-site, with pricing based on the on‑site supplemental‑space quotation.

2. On-site rental‑extension services are available only from 12:00 to 17:00 on October 21, 2024. If you require additional rental space, please visit the China Pavilion service desk at H4.E20 to arrange for an extension. During the exhibition, no further exhibit‑equipment rental services will be provided.

3. Due to the limited number of furniture items available on-site and the high demand, please place your order as early as possible. Orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies are exhausted. Upon payment, the vendor will issue a formal receipt for reimbursement purposes; delivery will be arranged in the order in which orders are placed, and specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

4, If the contractor is unable to enter the venue during the three-day extension period, all requests for additional space or setup must be coordinated with the contractor on the exhibition setup day (October 21, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Travel Advisory

1. Bring photocopies of the passport’s information page and visa page, your insurance policy, and your round-trip flight itinerary.

2. Bring an ample supply of brochures, posters, and other materials.

3. Mobile phone (with international roaming enabled), charger, power bank, and travel adapter.

4. Bring your toiletries and necessary clothing, and pack some of your regular medications—such as gastrointestinal remedies, allergy pills, fever reducers, and pain relievers—for emergencies.

5. Please do not place computers, batteries, or power banks in your checked baggage.

6. South Africa is 6 hours behind China; the time there is Beijing Time minus 6 hours.

7. Regarding currency, the country you are visiting is part of the Eurozone, where 1 euro is approximately equivalent to 7.86 Chinese yuan. Please do not carry large amounts of cash; the amount of Chinese yuan in cash should not exceed 20,000 yuan, and the equivalent in foreign currency should not exceed 4,000 euros. You may use chip-enabled credit cards such as VISA or MASTER CARD while abroad. Exhibitors may bring goods valued at no more than 430 euros; any amount exceeding this must be declared to customs.

8. In October, South Africa’s temperatures typically range from 13°C to 23°C, with average daytime highs around 23°C. It’s recommended to wear light, breathable clothing such as cotton‑linen shirts, lightweight long skirts, and thin T-shirts. Given the significant temperature differences between morning and evening, bring a light jacket to stay comfortable during cooler mornings and nights. For business events or more formal meetings and visits, be sure to pack smart attire.

9. South Africa operates on 220V, with a three‑pronged plug arranged in a triangular pattern; the power plug conforms to the standard South African type. We will carefully provide you with an adapter plug.

10. Africans tend to have a strong sense of national identity, so it is best to address them by their nationality. South Africans who are Christian avoid the number 13 and Fridays; South African Black people deeply revere their ancestors and are particularly sensitive to any disrespect shown toward their forebears. When conversing with South Africans, there are four topics that should be avoided: do not praise or criticize white people; refrain from commenting on relations or conflicts between different Black ethnic groups or factions; do not question or criticize traditional Black customs; and do not offer congratulations simply because the other person has had a son.
