◆ Access to the exhibition center is permitted only with a valid pass. Please carry your pass at all times; individuals without a pass will be denied entry to the venue.
◆ADLM prohibits joint exhibition participation.
◆The U.S. Department of Agriculture has determined that some exhibitors’ test kits or reagents contain animal-derived products originating outside the United States. The USDA requires that all animal‑derived and cell‑culture materials be accompanied by an import permit. All liquids, reagents, cell‑culture materials, and similar items must be removed from the exhibition by the close of the event on Thursday, August 1. Dismantling the exhibit is the responsibility of the exhibitor; please comply with the exhibitor policy regarding waste disposal and biological samples.
◆ Before 2:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025 Unconstructed space will be reclaimed by the organizer. ADLM may reallocate or utilize such space. Exhibitors anticipating delays in booth construction must obtain written approval from the ADLM Exhibition Management Department by July 15, 2025, to defer installation. On Tuesday, July 29, entry to the venue for setup will not be permitted. All booths must be staffed at all times during the exhibition.
2. Publicity Regulations
◆ Anyone found soliciting business in the corridors or any public area, including at another company’s booth, will be required to leave immediately, and their venue pass may be revoked, with additional penalties imposed.
3. Exhibit Freight Shipping
◆ When arranging for freight, be sure to maintain close communication with the shipping company and stay updated on the status of your shipment at all times.
◆Please bring the relevant documents (or copies) for inspection, such as the delivery order, packing list, invoice, and so on.
◆ Effective from 00:00 on November 1, 2023, travelers entering or leaving the country are no longer required to complete the “People’s Republic of China Health Declaration Form for Entry/Exit.” However, travelers exhibiting symptoms of infectious diseases—such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, or unexplained subcutaneous bleeding—or those who have already been diagnosed with an infectious disease must proactively make a health declaration to customs and cooperate with customs in undergoing temperature screening, epidemiological investigations, medical examinations, sample collection, and other health‑quarantine measures. Any concealment or evasion of quarantine will result in corresponding legal liability; if such actions lead to the spread of a quarantinable infectious disease or pose a serious risk of transmission, criminal liability may be imposed.
◆ Upon entering the United States, travelers are required to undergo immigration inspection and customs declaration. Immigration officers will verify that the traveler’s passport, visa, and other travel documents are valid and confirm the traveler’s identity.
◆ If you are asked to enter the secondary screening area, remain calm and cooperate with officials during questioning and baggage inspection. You may be unable to use your mobile phone during this process, so it is advisable to inform family and friends in advance.
◆ Please pay attention to airport announcements. At some airports, luggage carts are available for a fee; it’s advisable to bring coins or small-denomination bills in advance.
◆ Exhibitors are advised to bring their items with them. Passport, valid visa pages (if the visa pages are in an old passport, please bring both the old and new passports), hotel reservation confirmation, flight itinerary, invitation letter, EVUS registration confirmation, and other relevant supporting documents. For specific details, please refer to the relevant regulations of the airline that issued your ticket and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (https://www.cdc.gov/).
◆ Bring an ample supply of brochures, business cards, posters, and other materials.
◆ Mobile phone (with international roaming enabled), charger, power bank, and U.S.-style travel adapter.
◆ Be sure to bring your toiletries and necessary clothing, and pack some of your regular medications—such as gastrointestinal remedies, allergy pills, fever reducers, and pain relievers—for emergencies.
◆ Do not place computers, batteries, or power banks in your checked baggage.
◆ Time Difference: The United States spans multiple time zones; Chicago is 13 hours behind China. Upon arrival, be sure to adjust your schedule and acclimate to the time difference.
◆ Local official language: English.
◆The average temperature in Chicago in July ranges from 17°C to 32°C, with an average daytime high of 29°C and an average nighttime low of 17°C. The weather is quite hot at this time, and occasional thunderstorms may occur. When traveling, be sure to check the weather forecast and bring rain gear and sun protection.
◆ Dress Code: Please dress in light, comfortable attire; business attire is required during the exhibition.
◆ Currency: The official currency of the United States is the U.S. dollar (USD), with 1 USD approximately equal to 7.2 RMB. In the U.S., multiple payment methods are accepted, including cash and bank cards. Most department stores, hotels, and other establishments accept credit cards. It’s advisable to carry some small‑denomination cash in advance for tips and minor expenses. You can also exchange a portion of your funds into U.S. dollars at domestic banks before you travel, or do so at U.S. airports, banks, and other locations. Real-time exchange rates can be checked through banks or on XE.com. Exchanging currency domestically is usually more cost‑effective, and you can use UnionPay cards to withdraw cash from ATMs, though ATM fees tend to be higher.
◆ Voltage: The U.S. mains voltage is 110V at 60Hz, and the plug types are Type A (two flat pins) or Type B (three flat pins). Dual-voltage appliances (marked 100–240V) can be used directly; other electrical devices will require a travel adapter.
◆Chicago’s public transportation system includes the subway and buses; you can save money by purchasing daily or weekly passes. If driving, keep in mind that the U.S. drives on the right side of the road. At stop signs, you must come to a complete stop, confirm safety, and then proceed. Pedestrians have absolute right-of-way, so be sure to yield to them. Additionally, some states do not recognize Chinese driver’s licenses, and even those that do may impose numerous restrictions. It’s advisable to familiarize yourself with the relevant regulations in advance.
◆ Americans are easygoing, friendly, and warm‑hearted, with a strong emphasis on neat attire. When visiting, they remove their hats and outerwear upon entering. During meals, it is considered impolite to make noise, serve food for others, smoke, or press drinks on fellow diners. The numbers 13 and 3 are particularly unlucky in American culture. White lilies should never be given as gifts. Women are advised against wearing black leather skirts, and they should avoid casually taking off their shoes or lifting the hem of their skirts in front of men. It is also best to refrain from receiving guests or going out in pajamas or slippers, and sunglasses are generally not worn indoors.
