   The Thai government has designated the healthcare industry as a national strategic priority. The “Ignite Thailand” initiative explicitly aims to position Thailand as the ASEAN medical hub, while the Board of Investment (BOI) offers preferential policies—including up to eight years of corporate income tax exemption and reductions or exemptions on import duties for machinery and equipment—to promote the localization of medical device manufacturing. Furthermore, the China–ASEAN Regional Pharmaceutical Centralized Procurement Platform, officially launched in 2025, has established a fast-track pathway for domestically produced medical devices to enter the ASEAN market.
