Time Difference: The Philippines is in the same time zone as China, with no time difference.
Weather and Dress Recommendations: In Manila, August temperatures typically range from 26°C to 31°C, with an average of 30°C during the day and 26°C at night. We recommend wearing light, breathable summer attire. For business events, please bring formal attire. The air conditioning in the exhibition hall is quite cool, so please bring a jacket.
Electricity and Outlets: The voltage in the Philippines is 220–240V, so most appliances from your home country can be used safely. Most outlets are two-flat-pin type; round or three‑prong plugs will require an adapter.
Calling China: Dial 0086 (China’s country code) + area code + phone number. China Mobile and China Unicom subscribers can activate international roaming services.
Currency: The official currency is the peso (PESO). One U.S. dollar is approximately equivalent to 55–62 pesos, and one Chinese yuan is roughly 7.7–9.1 pesos, subject to the prevailing exchange rate. Cash in foreign currencies should not exceed the equivalent of USD 5,000.
Customs and Taboos: The numbers “13” and “Friday” are considered unlucky; it is frowned upon to pass objects or pick up food with the left hand; women are given priority, and handshakes are the customary greeting in social settings.
