Dubai Rehabilitation Equipment and Accessibility Solutions Exhibition (ACCESSABILITIES EXPO)
ACCESSABILITIES EXPO

October 19–21, 2026

Exhibition Introduction
The Dubai Accessible Equipment and Accessibility Solutions Exhibition (AccessAbilities Expo, or AAE) is the leading trade and consumer show in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, and the largest disability‑focused exhibition in the Middle East.
Market Overview
The Middle East market’s appeal stems from two hard‑core realities: surging demand and a severe supply‑demand mismatch. On the demand side, three key drivers are at play: a large base of people with disabilities and special needs—exceeding 50 million in the region; accelerating population aging, with the share of those aged 60 and over projected to rise from 8% to 15% by 2045; and a high prevalence of chronic diseases, with diabetes affecting 23% of Saudi adults, driving robust demand for post‑surgical rehabilitation and chronic disease management. On the supply side, structural gaps persist: most Middle Eastern countries rely heavily on imports for rehabilitation aids and assistive devices, accounting for 70%–90% of the market, while facing a critical shortage of skilled professionals—Saudi Arabia has only 0.73 rehabilitation therapists per 10,000 people, far below the levels seen in developed nations. With human resources unable to meet this demand, the gap is being bridged through equipment substitution and smart assistive technologies.
Market data corroborates this trend: according to Grand View Research, the Middle East and Africa rehabilitation equipment market was valued at USD 523.6 million in 2024 and is projected to grow to USD 785.3 million by 2030, with a CAGR of 7.1%. Meanwhile, the rehabilitation robotics segment is expected to expand from USD 450 million in 2024 to USD 1.2 billion by 2034, at an annual growth rate of 10%. Surging demand, labor shortages, and the need to upgrade existing equipment—these constitute a structural window of opportunity for Chinese rehabilitation‑equipment companies.
