SMX Convention Center, Manila, Philippines

August 19–21, 2026

Singapore Fireworks Exhibition Group, Philippine Medical Association

Exhibition Introduction

The 9th Philippine International Medical Devices Exhibition in 2026 is co-organized by the Philippine Medical Association and Singapore’s Fireworks Exhibition Group, and is regarded as the largest and most professional international medical devices trade show in the region. In 2025, the Philippine Medical Exhibition drew nearly 200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, including close to 80 Chinese companies.

As the Philippines’ population continues to grow, its healthcare market is expanding rapidly. With very limited local production, the country relies almost entirely on imports to meet its medical and wellness needs. The exhibition brings together numerous global medical device and healthcare service companies, all converging in Manila to showcase cutting-edge equipment and technologies. For businesses looking to tap into the Philippine market, the event will attract a large contingent of industry professionals and end‑users, offering exhibitors and domestic and international buyers an exceptional platform for marketing and technical exchange. This trade show is a must‑attend opportunity to showcase products and uncover new business prospects.

Market Overview

1. High demand.

The Philippines is one of the emerging international markets, with a population exceeding 100 million. As its population continues to grow, the healthcare market is expanding rapidly. An aging population is driving demand for chronic disease management and rehabilitation care equipment, while respiratory illnesses, hypertension, diabetes, and tuberculosis are further boosting the need for high-quality medical devices and equipment. Domestic production capacity remains limited, and supply chains are unstable, with over 90% of medical devices relying on imports.

2. Great business opportunities.

The Philippine government has begun seeking cost-effective products. For a long time, the country has been deeply reliant on European and American goods, treating them as its absolute first choice—yet these imports come at steep prices. With high drug costs juxtaposed against widespread barriers to access to healthcare, the Philippine government is actively pursuing imported products that balance affordability with performance to meet market needs. Through tendering processes for low-cost generic medicines, incentives to promote the use of affordable drugs, and the exploration of new supply channels, the government has also extended special preferential treatment to pharmaceutical investments. These measures have created favorable policy conditions for Chinese medical products to enter the Philippine market. With their strong price‑performance ratio, Chinese medical products align closely with the Philippine government’s priorities and are well positioned to expand their market share.

The establishment of the China–ASEAN Free Trade Area has spurred rapid growth in China–Philippines economic and trade relations. The Philippines is a major destination for Chinese pharmaceutical exports, with Western‑medicine shipments ranking first among the nine ASEAN member states. This robust trade foundation provides strong support for Chinese medical products as they seek to further penetrate the Philippine market. The sustained upward trend in trade underscores the immense potential for cooperation between the two sides in the medical‑products sector, enabling Chinese companies to leverage existing trade channels and partnerships to more efficiently bring their products to the Philippine market.

3. The association will do its utmost to help Chinese products enter the Philippine market.

The establishment of the Philippines–China Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Association has built a bridge between the pharmaceutical and medical device markets of China and the Philippines, facilitated friendly dialogues among relevant government agencies in both countries, and accelerated the issuance of regulatory approvals. By streamlining product registration and approval procedures, it has made it easier for Chinese products to enter the Philippine market, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and time costs, and expediting market access. Moreover, the association has fostered exchanges between China and the Philippines, encouraging the Philippine Department of Health and Filipino physicians to visit China to gain first-hand insights into the Chinese context. It has also provided a platform for Chinese enterprises to establish direct partnerships with local Philippine healthcare institutions and distributors, thereby expanding their sales channels.
