Exhibition Introduction
The European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress is one of the world’s leading academic conferences in the field of respiratory medicine. With members from more than 160 countries worldwide—about one-third of whom come from outside Europe—it underscores its global reach. Held annually, the ERS Congress aims to foster the exchange of knowledge, showcase cutting-edge research, advance clinical practice, and strengthen collaboration and development in the global arena of respiratory health.
The European Respiratory Society Congress 2025 (ERS 2025) was held from September 27 to October 1 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. More than 20,000 clinicians, basic scientists, pharmacologists, and experts from related fields—representing over 120 countries—gathered at this major event to discuss cutting-edge research findings, focusing on eight key areas: asthma, lung diseases, respiratory infections, pulmonary vascular disorders, critical care in respiratory medicine, sleep and breathing disorders, thoracic oncology, and pediatric respiratory conditions. The congress featured 159 exhibition booths, showcasing 126 medical‑device companies and 33 pharmaceutical firms across a total area of 6,400 square meters. At ERS 2025, a research team from the Capital Institute of Pediatrics was invited to participate, taking on roles as session chairs and presenting papers, thereby highlighting China’s pioneering advances in the field of pediatric respiratory infections. These collaborative achievements underscore the deepening academic exchanges between China and Europe in respiratory medicine and inject fresh momentum into global efforts to promote respiratory health.
The 2026 conference theme is: “United for Better Breathing: Partnership Between Patients, Clinicians, and Researchers.” Covering the entire spectrum of respiratory medicine, it addresses key issues across 14 major scientific domains, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, lung cancer, sleep-disordered breathing, interstitial lung diseases, tuberculosis, pneumonia, and acute and chronic respiratory failure. The conference not only showcases the latest clinical research findings and treatment guidelines but also highlights the application of cutting-edge technologies—such as artificial intelligence and digital health—in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases, providing a high‑level platform for academic exchange among respiratory professionals worldwide.
