To date, it has been successfully held for nine editions, attracting medical device and equipment distributors, procurement decision-makers, hospital administrators, and other buyers from across the African region who are seeking new knowledge, business relationships, and trade opportunities. The Nigeria Medical Exhibition serves as the sole communication platform in West Africa connecting distributors and agents, as well as a multi‑faceted high‑level medical conference. The event will open in Lagos from September 26 to 28. Entering Nigeria

1. Passport (valid for at least 6 months)

5. It is recommended to prepare the hotel reservation.

6. When entering Nigeria, you must carry a yellow fever vaccination certificate (commonly known as the “yellow book”). Upon arrival, you will be required to provide your fingerprints.

7. The importation of animals, plants, narcotics, and internationally prohibited items is strictly forbidden.

8. Each entry allows you to carry up to USD 5,000 in cash.

Please note: To ensure the safety of all personnel within the exhibition halls, all booth power supplies must be switched on 30 minutes prior to the opening of the event and off within 30 minutes after closing each day, remaining de-energized at all times. If electricity is required outside these specified hours, please submit a request to the venue in advance and pay all applicable fees.

Badge Collection

All exhibitor badges (including those of on-site temporary staff) must be processed through the online customer service center ( Customer Center ) Apply online in advance for the Exhibitor Badges module. The system will send out notifications regarding exhibitor access badges in advance of the event. Please check the email address you provided when submitting your badge information. Exhibitors may save the badge’s QR code on their mobile devices or print it out to bring to the exhibition venue. Medic West Africa 2023 will no longer provide paper exhibitor badges; attendees will gain access to the exhibition halls by scanning a QR code on-site.

Exhibition Participation Guidelines

1. Intellectual Property Protection

Exhibitors must ensure that their exhibits, exhibit packaging, promotional materials, and any display elements of the exhibition booth do not, in any respect, infringe upon or violate the rights of others. With respect to all intellectual property rights—including, but not limited to, registered or unregistered trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, trade names, and patents—exhibiting entities must hold valid certificates of ownership or appropriate licenses. The organizer strongly urges exhibitors not to display samples whose intellectual property status is unclear. Should an intellectual property dispute arise on-site, the organizer reserves the right to require the exhibitor to remove any exhibits subject to such disputes.

Please note that Nigerian law imposes strict requirements for the lawful use of registered trademarks. Using a registered trademark or logo without the prior authorization of the trademark owner, or displaying exhibits that infringe upon such trademark rights, constitutes a serious violation and may result in the immediate seizure of the exhibitor’s booth at the trade show.

2. Reselling exhibition booths is strictly prohibited.

As the exhibition organizer, reselling or privately combining booths is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in adverse consequences for all future applications to Informa‑hosted exhibitions.

3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Guidelines

During the setup and dismantling phases, exhibitors and contractors are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of on-site personnel. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must meet at least the minimum standards to prevent injuries. Mandatory requirement: All exhibitors and booth contractors must provide safety protective clothing that meets minimum standards, including safety shoes with toe protection and high-visibility safety vests. In addition, the standard requirements also include: safety helmets, protective goggles, and hearing protection equipment.

4. Security of Exhibits and Personal Belongings

Throughout the duration of the exhibition—during setup, display, and dismantling—please take care to safeguard your company’s exhibits and personal belongings. The organizer shall not be liable for any loss or theft of exhibits or personal items.

● Exhibitors are prohibited from standing on chairs, tables, or other rented furniture. All furniture is not designed to support human weight. African Exhibition Services Ltd The company shall not be liable for any injuries, falls, or other incidents resulting from the improper use of furniture. If you require assistance during booth setup, please visit the service desk located at the entrance to Hall 1 to contact the exhibition contractor.

● Please prioritize your personal safety and stay away from specially constructed exhibition booths, scaffolding, shelving, and other equipment or furniture that could pose a risk of falling objects, to prevent injuries or fatalities.

● The shelf installation is a temporary procedure; until it is securely fastened, there is a risk of slippage. Please maintain a safe distance during installation to ensure personal safety.

5. During the setup period (September 24–25, 2023)

● During the setup period, please keep your empty crates and waste materials on your own booth; do not place them in the aisles, nor leave them at other booths. After the exhibition setup is complete, please dispose of all empty crates and waste in the designated trash bins located outside the entrance and exit of the exhibition hall.

Exhibition venue staff will conduct regular patrols, and violators will face substantial fines. Please take this seriously.

6. During the event period (September 26–28, 2023)

● Please dispose of any waste generated during the event promptly to keep your booth and passageways tidy. After closing each day, kindly empty your booth and place all trash and废弃物 in the designated bins located outside the exhibition hall’s entrances and exits.

● Standard booth during the event period The use of electric kettles for boiling water is strictly prohibited. If a power outage in the exhibition area caused by boiling water prevents normal display, the exhibitor shall bear full responsibility and pay any applicable fines.

7. During the dismantling period (September 28, 2023)

During the exhibition period (before 5:00 p.m. each day) and on the final day of the exhibition (before 4:00 p.m.), exhibitors may not depart early or dismantle/package their exhibits. Violators will be subject to a fine, and in cases of serious misconduct, their application to participate in next year’s exhibition may be affected.

● After the exhibition concludes, you may leave household waste and general废弃物 on your booth; however, for special waste and materials (such as oversized or overweight items), you must request a removal service in advance from the venue’s waste‑collection department.

8. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to enter the exhibition hall.

 

 

Important Information for Returning Home

 

At midnight on August 31, the General Administration of Customs put into effect the ninth edition of the People’s Republic of China Health Declaration Form for Entry/Exit, with several enhancements. For instance, it has eliminated the requirements to declare nucleic acid test results, past infection history, and vaccination dates for travelers entering or leaving the country. Travelers can complete the health declaration via the “Customs Passenger Finger‑Tip Service” WeChat mini‑program. Please note that the customs entry code is valid for only 24 hours after submission; therefore, it is recommended to submit the declaration no later than nine hours before your flight departs.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ latest policy, Effective August 30, 2023, travelers entering China are no longer required to undergo pre-arrival COVID‑19 nucleic acid or antigen testing.
